General research interests. Low-temperature scanning probe microscopy and spectroscopy (LT-STM / nc-AFM) under UHV as a precision toolbox for atomic-scale engineering and interfacial chemistry.
Bottom-Up Nanostructure Synthesis: Atomic-precision control of on-surface reactions, functional nanostructures, and molecular assemblies.
Substrate Diversity: Reaction pathways and electronic decoupling on metallic, semiconducting, and insulating/dielectric surfaces.
Initiation Stimuli: Thermally driven, light-induced, tip-induced, and collision-induced chemical processes.
Experimental Techniques: Low-temperature cryogenics, single-molecule manipulation, STS, and high-resolution nc-AFM imaging.
